What About You?
Before you leave us, let me invite you to consider
Marist religious life. I have spoken with individuals who put off
exploring a possible vocation to religious life and many years later,
regretted not having done so. By investing yourself now in discerning
a possible vocation to Marist religious life, you will be introduced
to a whole new way of life, of living the Gospel in the spirit of
Mary. You will be spared from being shadowed in your later years
by the question, "What if?"
Marists believe that it is by the gracious choice of Mary herself
that we are called to serve in her Society and to bear her name.
Our Blessed Mother needs a whole new generation and one that is
culturally diverse to further her work in the Church and in the
world. Perhaps from what you read and viewed on our website, you
found yourself thinking, "I am already living my life according
to what the Marists value." or even concluding, "That's
me!" Perhaps this website was inspired by Mary with you in
mind!
Even
if a vocation to Marist religious life proves not to be "for
you," there is another way of participating in the mission
and spirit of the Society of Mary and that is as a Marist layperson.
In either case, the experience of exploring Marist religious life
can be a spiritually enriching one for you. Why not give it a try?
